Gambling licensing in Australia
Online wagering on racing and sport is legal in Australia when the provider holds a licence from an Australian state or territory regulator. Online casino games, slots and in-play online betting are prohibited under the Interactive Gambling Act 2001. The ACMA enforces the Act, publishes the register of licensed interactive wagering providers and runs BetStop, the national self-exclusion register.
