Gambling licensing in Belgium
Online gambling in Belgium may only be offered by holders of a land-based licence who also hold an additional online licence from the Gaming Commission under the Gambling Act of 7 May 1999: A+ for online casino games (linked to one of the nine land-based casinos), B+ for online gaming arcade games (linked to a gaming arcade) and F1+ for online betting (linked to a betting licence). Each additional licence covers one website. The Commission publishes the official lists of active licences as open data.

Key licensee requirements
- Hold the matching land-based licence (A, B or F1) before an online licence can be granted
- Operate only the website named on the licence, on a .be domain with servers accessible to the Commission
- Check every player against the EPIS exclusion register before play
- Apply the weekly deposit limit of €200 by default, which a player can only raise after a credit check
- Follow the Royal Decree of 2023 banning most gambling advertising
