Gambling licensing in Greece
Online gambling in Greece may only be offered by holders of a B2C online licence from the Hellenic Gaming Commission under Law 4002/2011 and Ministerial Decision 79835 ΕΞ 2020. There are two licence types: Type 1 for online betting and Type 2 for other online games, including casino, live casino and poker. The Commission publishes a public register of licence holders with their licence numbers, websites and expiry dates, and a blacklist of unlicensed sites.

- Operate only from the .gr website registered on the licence
- Verify player identity and age; no gambling under 21
- Apply player protection and responsible gambling measures, including limits and self-exclusion
- Meet anti-money-laundering duties and connect gaming systems to HGC monitoring
