Gambling licensing in Hungary
SZTFH licenses and supervises gambling in Hungary and keeps the official public register of licences. Online casino games may only be run by companies holding a concession for a land-based casino in Hungary. Since 1 January 2023 remote betting is open to Hungarian and EEA companies meeting SZTFH requirements, alongside the state-owned Szerencsejáték Zrt. Unlicensed gambling websites are blocked.

Key licensee requirements
