Gambling licensing in Lithuania
Online gambling has been legal in Lithuania since 2016, but only for companies that already hold a Lithuanian gaming licence and run a land-based casino, gaming hall or betting shop. The Gaming Control Authority issues remote gambling licences and permits and publishes a whitelist of companies entitled to run remote gambling and lotteries. Banks and payment firms may only process gambling payments for listed companies, and unlicensed websites are blocked.
