Gambling licensing in Mozambique
Mozambique regulates gambling in two tracks. Casinos fall under Law 1/2010 on games of chance, and are land-based only. Sports betting, lotteries, bingo and virtual games are 'social games' under Law 9/2012 and its 2018 regulation, and may be offered in shops and online. The Inspecção Geral de Jogos (IGJ), under the Ministry of Economy and Finance, licenses both. The brands here come from IGJ's official list of licensed social-gaming entities; only those marked as operating are shown.

Key licensee requirements
- Apply to IGJ with company registration, statutes and proof of legal existence
- Mozambican shareholders must hold at least 10% of the capital of the proposed investment
- Provide a bank guarantee of 3,000,000 MT per game type in favour of IGJ
- Submit system manuals, business continuity and data hosting plans, and an independent system certification
- Show good standing: criminal records of shareholders and tax clearance
